The figures include traditional shapes tied to the Tzotzil worldview, such as grecas and natural elements, representing ideas of growth, land, and harmony.

The process behind each runner is slow and precise. The artisan sets up the loom, arranges the threads, and weaves each row using nothing but her hands and body.
